We decided to start a new monthly section
dedicated to inspirational skate videos that are out of the realm of SLO County. My pick for June is the legendary night session
in H-Street’s Hokus Pokus (1989). A longtime friend, Steve Money once described to me his first viewing of Hokus Pokus, as the absolute
shock and awe of so many never been done tricks left him and his friends
screaming throughout the entire video. Steve isn't
the only nostalgic H-Street fan, as it motivated a new generation of street
skating to take over in the coming decade.
I know Matt Hensley’s stylish pop-shove it backside grab will forever be
engraved in my mind, and the shredding instrumental track is equally top notch.
Enjoy Carroll, Hensley, Donger, and the
Dance of Life in this absolute classic.
