Forever Ripping

As a kid, Bart Steed was like a mythical creature. While I was dragging my feet, rolling kickflips on the ground, Bart was charging pools and crushing them with style. It didn't seem possible to find a pool around here and it wasn't until I found one years later, that I could fully comprehend how good he really was at skating. My interactions with Bart were limited but I was always excited to see him. These clips are from the Newsense video's and were and were my introduction to Bart. I hope they bring the same inspiration to everyone as they did for me. RIP Bart. We miss you!

Leader of the Pack

The Morro Bay DIY has come and gone but that doesn't mean it's all over yet. Our next unearthed issue will cover the life of the DIY with some photos to reminisce the good times. Thank you to Tristan, Bart, Cantsee, Max, Kory, and all the others who made this spot a reality. All it took was Tristan to get the ball rolling, as he made a long time Morro Bay "what if" spot, a full blown DIY utopia,

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than skating a rail in Atascabama?

Jazztato Super 8

One of the most exciting things about filming Jazztato was shooting on Super 8. In the end, it was well worth the risk.

Phildoe

Two of my good pals from back home just put out this fun project with quite a few NBD's. I got to witness a ton of these tricks go down first hand and was there for emotional support and the occasional party line. The entire project homie based with original music from Ben Kray. Here's to da big rippa Phil and the master lensman Nate Klein.

FYI. He's goofy...let that boggle your mind with the ender

We're Just a Minor Threat

It seems like if you grew up in Los Osos, your goal is to find the weirdest/worst spots and somehow skate them. These unsuspecting benches may look nice, until you realize it's made out of janky wood and not plastic.

Out in the Wild

Sometimes it's hard when you can't skate with friends as much as you want. During Jazztato, Yeti would be out of commission for months, just to come back and film a significant portion of his part in one day. This photo was one of those days. It's super sick to see him wearing the same clothes for most of the tricks in his part. It reminds me of the old Powell or Blind vids, which is always a good thing.

Ghosts of the Past

I helped a friend experiment with new camera gear at the old Cherry Park a few years back and he just send me the link to the edit. Filmed by Nate Klein, edited by Kevin Strick. Enjoy

Setting the Bar Low...

We set out, three adults and one youngster, all with the intention of at least ollie-ing something.  Every one one got their minimums in, but the youngster caught the biggest ollie of the day.
